Bio:
Domingo J. Rivera was the first attorney in the United States to win a complex jury trial involving Federal Copyright Infringement, music piracy criminal allegations. This was also the most important case of its type. Our client was alleged to be the leader of the most prolific music piracy group in the world. After five days of trial, the jury agreed with us and returned a Not Guilty verdict.
Education:
Domingo J. Rivera earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialty in Information Technology Management, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Domingo J. Rivera is also a registered Electrical Engineering E.I.T. in the State of Florida.
Military Service:
United States Navy – 1996-2003. – U.S. Navy Engineering Officer, and lead engineer for the Homeland Security building at the U.S. Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia. In that capacity, Domingo Rivera held a Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance with NATO access.
Recent Litigation:
A Federal Jury acquitted a client, who was represented by Domingo J. Rivera, Esq. The trial was heard at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The United States Department of Justice had alleged that the client was the leader of Rabid Neurosis (“RNS”), the alleged most prolific “music piracy group” in the world.
